Job Details:

Title: Software Developer

Location: Flexible on Canadian Location

Status: 1.0 FTE

Reports to: Director, Product Development

Work Environment: Work from office/home office + 4 Day Work Week

Job Summary & Responsibilities:

You will:

• Work on new features from embedded software on our elevator screens to our full stack administrative interface to our data warehouse
• Evolve our product by researching and building exciting new features and see the business impact
• Participate in code reviews and share knowledge
• Upgrade our Tech Stack and manage Tech Debt
• Work on new stuff that we haven’t thought of yet

You have:

Experience:

• 1-2+ years of experience as a Software Developer
• Experience with Ruby on Rails or another MVC framework
• Experience with React or another JavaScript framework
• Experience with version control (Git) and the Unix command line
• Some experience with dev ops; you have at least an awareness of how to configure VMs, networking, databases, and how things like load balancing work

Education:

• Bonus for a bachelor’s degree in Computing Science or Software Engineering
